Puppet making for children, or for adults working with children
- A hands on workshop in which the participants will make one or more easy kinds of puppets to use to tell a story, and to take home with them.
~ children: schools, Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts or other events. Maximum group size 20 children, with adult or teen helpers. Ages 5+.
~ adults: teachers, camp leaders, and others working with children
- It can be tailored to your needs, depending on the age and size of the group.
- Requirements: tables, sink and water, electricity.
- When spread over several sessions, it can be combined with manipulation (see below) and performance.
- Materials: We supply basic puppet materials, you supply construction paper, scissors, glue, pencils and felt pens.
Puppet manipulation for beginners
- Learn how to manipulate different types of puppets and make them come alive, and learn how to how to use them effectively.
- Suitable for for children or adults.
- Practice puppets will be supplied for use in the workshop.
- This can be a one-time workshop or can continue over two or more sessions, depending on your needs.
- Requirements: chairs, space for a stage 6' x 8'
Storytelling with puppets
- Learn how to tell stories using a variety of kinds of puppets. Workshop covers choosing stories, what kinds of puppets to use, manipulation, learning and telling the story, and tips on making simple puppets to use.
- The workshop is intended for children grades 5-12 or adults (teachers, preschool teachers, church workers, camp leaders, and others working with children)
- Requirements: chairs, table, space for a stage 6' x 8'
